Google Chrome Integration
Google Chrome doesn't allow direct usage of the scanning mode (on-the-fly translations).
It is due to its multiplatform architecture (it also works on Windows and Linux): Google Chrome for Mac OS X is Carbon-application, so it doesn't provide APIs for capturing text under the mouse pointer. Even Services available for all Cocoa applications are limited in Google Chrome.
To let Google Chrome users enjoy some TranslateIt! features, we've created a Firefox extension that allows looking up the meanings of selected words in a pop-up window.
This extension is compatible with TranslateIt! 12.5 and higher.
Click the button bellow from the Google Chrome to install the CRX-extension.
Next, you can easily configure it via the Window -> Extensions -> TranslateIt!'s Options pane.
