Question:
I unpacked a StarDict dictionary... with some resources like images...
I found unexpected 'res' folder... How about it?

Answer:
'res' folder can contains images and other resources required by StarDict dictionaries.
StarDict dictionary resources supported by TI since version 8.1 [build 8175].
For example, we just downloaded a dictionary named 'someDictionary' (comes as .tar.bz2 archive or something like that).
After simple archive unpacking:
We have a files: 'someDictionary.dict.dz' and 'someDictionary.idx'
and 'res' folder (we can delete .ifo and any other files - they doesn't required for us).

For 'someDictionary.dict.dz' we should perform the following operations (like described in FAQ):
1. rename it to 'someDictionary.dict.gz'
2. unpack GZ-archive (from step 1) simple by clicking twice on it

Now we have the following files: 'someDictionary.dict' and 'someDictionary.idx'
and 'res' folder again ;-)
Next we should create directory named 'someDictionary.ext' and put 'res' folder to that directory.

That's all. Our dictionary just prepared. It consists from:
'someDictionary.dict', 'someDictionary.idx' files and the folder 'someDictionary.ext' with 'res' folder inside.

Now we can simple install it to TranslateIt! simple by clicking twice on it.
Don't forget about properly dictionary format setup. In TI Preferences dialog select HTML (or Plain/HT) for just installed dictionaries.

Optional part:
Where to find dictionaries with images?
Babylon dictionaries can be converted to StarDict format (http://ktranslator.sourceforge.net/)...
Our friends from StarDict project already converted many dictionaries.
Unfortunately, index page was removed from their server. By unknown reason ;-)
But, our friend Google can help us. :-)
I googled for 'babylon dictionaries site:stardict.sourceforge.net'
then used google cache history for restoring page content.
Index page was removed from StarDict site, however, dictionaries still accessible at SF mirrors.
About 101 nice dictionaries!

Here is link to auto downloader script for Terminal (wget required):
http://mac.translateit.ru/dicts/auto-downloader.tar.bz2
(source page saved from google cache included to the archive)

Hurry up! Files maybe removed from mirror anytime!
Today I can't find even source page at google cache. :-(

Where can I download wget?
wget is part of MacPorts...
